Personal Quote:

“Racing is something I have done all my life, and now it is my life. I strive to be a successful person on and off the race track. To become a successful driver, however, it takes more than one person. I am blessed to be supported by people who dedicate themselves to helping me achieve my lifelong dream. I aspire to fulfill my dream of becoming a NASCAR champion, known for his ability behind the wheel and his character away from the race track.”

Cliff Daniels knew from an early age he wanted to race.  In 1999, at nine-years-old, he took to the wheel, becoming the Virginia State Bandolero Bandits Champion and the Southside Speedway (Richmond, VA) Bandolero Track Champion.

With multiple wins and championships in the Bandolero scene, Daniels moved up to Legends car racing in the fall of 2001.  Success came early for Daniels as multiple victories in 2002 netted him the Langley Speedway Track Championship in the Young Lions Division.

From 2002 to 2005, Daniels racked up multiple wins, track championships and Feature Wins at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the famed "Summer Shootout".

Daniels took the success he acquired in Legends car racing to his 2005 debut in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, driving a Late Model Stock Car.  In 2006, he set out to run the full schedule at South Boston Speedway (VA).  Daniels had a successful 2006 season, scoring 3 top five finishes and 5 top ten finishes.

In 2007, eighteen-year-old Daniels continued his success in racing by running his Late Model Stock Car in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at South Boston (VA), Southern National Raceway Park (NC) and Martinsville Speedway (VA).  His season was highlighted by a career best second-place finish in March and a fourth-place finish in December, both at Southern National.

In 2008, Daniels began running select events in the UARA Stars touring Late Model division. The season highlights included a top ten finish in the first UARA event at Concord Motorsports Park and a 3rd place finish at the historic Bristol Motor Speedway in May. Again in July, Cliff and his team found success at Bristol, finishing 4th. In the Bailey’s 300 NASCAR late model event at the historic Martinsville Speedway in September, Cliff and his team lead every lap and went on to win a qualifying heat race, securing them a solid starting position for the most competitive late model stock car race in the country.

In 2009, Cliff and his team entered the Bailey’s 300 at Martinsville Speedway and finished a career best – 6th place finish in the largest late model stock car race of the season.

In May 2010, Cliff graduated Dean’s List from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics. Cliff also traveled with D’Hondt Motorsports over the second half of the 2010 season as a mechanic in the Nascar Nationwide Series.

In 2011, Cliff takes a step in his career to become the race engineer for the RAB Racing #09 car driven by Kenny Wallace in the Nascar Nationwide Series. After the finale at Homestead, Cliff's RAB Racing team was able to earn seventh in the Nationwide Series final driver points standings for Kenny Wallace.

For 2012, Cliff will be returning as the race engineer for the #09 RAB Racing team in the Nationwide Series and looking to expand on the remarkable 2011 season. In addition, Cliff will drive select races in NASCAR's developmental series.
